“If it weren’t for the team I have, we wouldn’t be able to ride booms and busts in the economy as we have been,” Abu Dhabi Financial Group (ADFG) CEO, Jassim Alseddiqi said after accepting an Arabian Business Achievement award last night, dedicating the award to his employees at the company.
“This is a great recognition and I’m truly honored to be acknowledged alongside some incredible industry leaders and pioneers. As I look back at my journey of setting up ADFG in 2011 to making it become what it is today, I realise this wouldn’t have been possible if it wasn’t for the exceptional team of people who have been working with me every step along the way, hence can proudly say that this award also belongs to the entire ADFG team.”
With almost a decade’s experience at the helm of highly successful investment giant, ADFG, has assets under management of $20 billion and focuses on providing a wide range of investment opportunities and financial services, in the GCC, the UK and Eastern Europe.
Alseddiqi was most recently elected as a board member at Dana Gas, and is chairman of Khaleeji Commercial Bank, GFH Financial Group, Shuaa Capital Eshraq Real Estate.
He is also on the board of directors at ADNOC Distribution, the UAE Banks Federation, First Abu Dhabi Bank, Al Gorythma, Kryptolabs and Abu Dhabi Capital Group.
Alseddiqi was also appointed as a member of the advisory board of the MIT Technology Review Arabic platform and been an observer member of Hyperloop since 2017.
The Arabian Business Achievement Awards were held last night at the Waldorf Astoria on the Palm Jumeirah in Dubai.
