Funding for 1,000 of company's most severely impacted small business clients
Network International – Middle East has contributed AED3.7 million ($1m) in cash to 1,000 of its most severely impacted small business clients, as part of measures to support the SME sector in the region.
The funding comes from a AED5m ($1.4m) pot of cash and other practical relief measures previously announced for its merchant partners aimed at small businesses and the micro-SME sector, which are struggling as a result of the economic crisis caused by Covid-19.
It has also waived minimum transaction fees for all merchant clients in the UAE across all industries for the next three months.
And it is enabling small businesses, from healthcare providers to retailers, to offer their services online quickly via its ‘plug and play’ Pay by Link acceptance platform, part of the N-GeniusTM Online ecommerce payment gateway.
Samer Soliman, managing director, Network International – Middle East, told Arabian Business: “Drawing on over 20 years’ experience Network International’s responsibility is two-fold: to meet rising demand for electronic payments and serve as an ‘enabler’ for SMEs to capitalise on the changing dynamics.”
Network’s Pay By Link is purpose-built for smaller businesses, enabling them to transition to ecommerce within minimal time, avoiding complex and costly IT requirements and specialised hardware.
It delivers advanced performance, security, and scalability, offering merchants and consumers a seamless and secure payment experience, and allows for rapid delivery of new payment methods and features without business disruption.
Network International is the largest enabler of digital commerce across the Middle East and Africa region.
