Benefit Cosmetics aims to raise over AED30,000 for UAE women and children charity

US-based Benefit Cosmetics has vowed to raise $8,167 (AED30,000) for The Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC) through its Bold Is Beautiful Project.

The project is aimed at empowering women and girls across areas of education and mentorship, access to wellness, and economic self-sufficiency.

It sees Benefit donate 100 percent of the money raised from its eyebrow waxing services - during the month of May – to the Dubai foundation, which provides protection and support services for women and children facing domestic violence, abuse, or human trafficking in the UAE.

Speaking at the event’s launch, Benefit’s beauty authority Annie Ford Danielson said, “It is part of our duty as women to support other women and help them feel empowered, confident, bold, and beautiful.”

The project was first launched in the US, UK, France, and Australia, where the firm raised over $2.9 million for 11 charities. It is set to launch this year in Spain, Ireland, Canada, and Singapore.

Benefit’s brow services are offered in Sephora stores across the UAE, including at the Mall of the Emirates and Dubai Mall branches.
