BenQ penetrates deeper into KSA

Hardware vendor BenQ, has named BDL as an in-country distributor for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). BDL will carry BenQ’s range of optical storage and scanning devices.

Hardware vendor BenQ, has named BDL as an in-country distributor for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. BDL will carry BenQ’s optical storage and scanning devices.

“BDL’s distribution network covers the major markets of Jeddah, Riyadh and the country’s Eastern province. This, alongside its extensive knowledge of the local channel will prove to be excellent resources for establishing ourselves as the number one supplier of optical devices and scanners. We are confident of securing 20% market share in the optical storage market, and 30% in scanners,” said Robert Dung, managing director at BenQ Middle East.

The deal includes a recently released range of DVD writers, professional level scanners and a ‘combo drive’ for storage. The deal is a move to complement BenQ’s rising sales figures for these products overall and give it a better share in the Kingdom’s market

Riyadh based BDL says the agreement moves it closer to its goal as a distributor. “Our aim has been to align ourselves with market innovators. We look forward to working closely with BenQ, to provide top-quality products to our channel partners and enable them to develop additional revenue streams,” said Tamer Ismail, business development manager at BDL.
