BenQ teams with iPoint in Bahrain

Digital lifestyle vendor BenQ has partnered with distributor iPoint to expand its presence in Bahrain.

Digital lifestyle vendor BenQ has partnered with distributor iPoint to expand its presence in Bahrain.

The Taiwanese company said the agreement with iPoint, announced this week, would allow it to aggressively tap into Bahrain's growing demand for consumer electronics, describing it as a "priority market" for the firm.

"To complement our expansion plans, we were looking for a partner who could help boost our market presence and drive sales across the Kingdom," Manish Bakshi, BenQ general manager for MEA, said in a statement.

"We decided to partner with iPoint because it met our criteria for a local distributor with a strong retail presence across the Kingdom," he added.

BenQ said it would work closely with iPoint over the next few months to deliver customer-centric, design-oriented products at competitive prices.

The vendor claimed it currently holds third position in both the MENA projector market and LCD monitor market.
