Symantec has launched Symantec Backup Exec System Recovery, a software program that incorporates functionality from Symantec LiveState Recovery with new, simplified deployment to deliver what the firm claims is comprehensive, disk-based Windows system protection.

“Small and mid-sized organisations are looking for server recovery solutions that are both cost-effective and easy-to-use,” said Brian Babineau, analyst at the Enterprise Strategy Group.

Backup Exec System Recovery is available as a Server Edition (priced US $1095 per server), in Windows Small Business Server mode (at $595 per server), and as a Desktop Edition at $69 per PC.
