Bids invited for Crescent Towers

Dubai-based Al Jabal Holdings will invite bids for its US $57 million (AED210 million) Crescent Towers project in September.

Dubai-based Al Jabal Holdings will invite bids for its US $57 million (AED210 million) Crescent Towers project in September.

Construction on the project is expected to begin in November with an expected completion date of October 2011.

The project, located in Ajman's Marmooka City, comprises three residential 18-storey towers designed by Adnan Saffarini Engineering Consultants. The firm is also the consultant for the project.

Saeed Ali Currimjee, managing director of Al Jabal Real Estate, told Construction Week that, "Once the land is handed over to us we will issue tenders for the main construction package and September is what we're looking at.

We have some companies in mind who we'd surely like to work with but we'll still have to wait and see.

The Crescent Towers is Al Jabal's debut development and each floor will have nine apartments ranging from studios to one, two and three bedrooms.

Currimjee said Marmooka City was the preferred location for the Towers, due to its proximity to Dubai, a 25-minute drive away.

Marmooka City is a city within a city including shopping malls, schools, mosques and gardens.
