BMW unveils MINI film competition

BMW Group Middle East has organised a short film competition — the MINI Film Festival 2006 to encourage filmmaking in the region.

The competition is open to entries from September 1 to November

1. Films should not be of more than 15 minutes duration.

Directors can choose the format of their films whether they be live action, animation, computer graphics or hybrid forays into short-form.

“’The MINI brand has launched several amateur film festivals and partnered with international events across the world,” says Guenther Seemann, managing director, BMW Group Middle East.

“This is a great way for us to reach out to the burgeoning film community in the Middle East.”
