Structured cabling manufacturer Brand-Rex has named fast-growing Saudi Arabian channel player Al-Jammaz Telecom as its in-country distribution partner for the Kingdom. Al-Jammaz will distribute Brand-Rex’s full range of high-speed networking and cabling solutions.

Al-Jammaz, which has signed a slew of new vendor agreements in recent months including infrastructure and UPS vendor APC, will push Brand-Rex products through its existing reseller channel in the Kingdom and also look to expand the base of cabling installers it serves.

“We’re very happy to be working with Al-Jammaz,” commented Nadim Qureshi, regional manager at Brand-Rex. “The company is already well-established as one of the Kingdom’s most trusted and reliable specialist distributors with several other leading brands and we are looking forward to helping them expand the local market even further.”

Asim Al-Jammaz, VP at Al-Jammaz Telecom, added: “Al-Jammaz is one of Saudi Arabia’s leading telecommunications specialists, working with best-of-breed vendors in each product sector and we are now delighted to be handling network cabling solutions from one of the world’s foremost structured cabling manufacturers.”

“Demand for high-speed, high quality networking and telecommunications services is booming in Saudi Arabia and we have to be able to meet the pace of that demand with the right product set,” he added.

Brand-rex designs and manufactures copper and fibre-based cabling systems. Based in Scotland with facilities across Europe, Brand-Rex focuses on two major areas: connectivity and speciality. The connectivity division, which claims to be the number two vendor in its sector in Europe, designs and manufactures cabling systems. The speciality division produces cables used for control, communications, power and instrumentation.
