British University in Dubai to host 17th International Conference on Management of Technology
The British University in Dubai will host a conference on technology and business change in April, it announced today.
The 17th International Conference on Management of Technology will be held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chairman of the Emirates Group, will bring together professionals and academics to discuss how technology can be used to bring about real world change.
Conference attendees will include members of the International Association for Management of Technology (IAMOT), with speakers from companies including Nakheel, Australia's GMO, Aarhuis University of Denmark, WS Atkins Global, Siemens, the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) and the Al Maktoum Foundation.
Dr. Abdullah Alshamsi, University Vice-Chancellor, of the British University in Dubai said: "This year's event is important because it brings together examples of best practice from within the region and from around the world. Among the speakers, we are hosting representatives from one of Denmark's leading universities, from one of the world's leading architecture and engineering consultancies and from one of Australia's largest fund managers.
"What these companies have in common is that their use of technology has sharpened their competitive edge and enabled them to support sustainable business practice. Our belief is that by pooling knowledge, organisations from different industries will be better positioned to enjoy the full benefits of technology," he added.
The event will take place at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC) from 6th to 10th April.
