Burj Al Arab leads the way

Conde Nast Traveller US Reader's Choice Awards vote hotel best in the region.

The Burj Al Arab, part of the Jumeirah Group and the world's most luxurious hotel at 7 stars was awarded the accolade of Best Resort in Middle East and Africa at a ceremony in New York.

The results are derived from an independent poll of consumer preferences, the Reader's Choice Survey, which this year attracted a record number of 28,000 votes. The event was the 20th annual Reader's Choice Awards.

Marco Nijhof, Senior Vice President, Jumeirah, Gulf Region, commented: "As a young and rapidly expanding luxury hospitality company, Jumeirah is proud to have been recognized at the Conde Nast US Reader's Choice Awards this year. We would like to take this opportunity to thank readers of Conde Nast Traveller who have recognized Burj Al Arab as the leading luxury hotel in the Middle East and Africa. We would like to thank all of our Jumeirah colleagues for their continued hard work and dedication to surpass guest expectations."
