Burj Khalifa cleaner acquires Abu Dhabi firm

Grako, which also cleans Dubai Mall, Jumeirah hotels, inks deal for Western Stone Restoration

Burj Khalifa cleaner acquires Abu Dhabi firm

Grako, the company responsible for keeping the Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building, clean has acquired Abu Dhabi-based Western Stone Restoration.

The deal is part of Grako's plan to diversify its service portfolio to offer comprehensive cleaning solutions to properties across the UAE.

Specialising in the treatment and cleaning of marble and granite flooring, the company will continue to operate independently as Western Stone Restoration as a subsidiary of Grako, a statement said.

"The acquisition is strategic for Grako as we expand our offerings to service the needs of properties and assets that demand high-quality cleaning solutions," said Alain El Tawil, managing partner at Grako."

Western Stone Restoration currently services four- and five-star hotels, including the Intercontinental Abu Dhabi, Sheraton Abu Dhabi, Crystal Hotel Abu Dhabi, and the Radisson Blu Dubai Creek.

Grako is responsible for keeping some of the UAE's most prestigious properties including the Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates and a number of Jumeirah hotels.
