CBI seeks young blood for spa industry
CBI is keen to encourage new recruits.

In the hopes of boosting admissions applications, the Cleopatra Beauty Institute (CBI) held a careers evening at the end of last year for Jumeirah College students.

“The event was attended by 14 students from 3 to 14 years of age,” said Daniella Russell, director of Spa Resources International, which runs the beauty institute.

The objective of the evening was to introduce the students to the many and varied career options available in the field of beauty and holistic treatments.

As the only internationally recognised centre for spa management training currently available in the UAE, Russell believes it is important to encourage fresh blood into the profession.

“With the integration of spa into hotels, holiday resorts and, as most recently, medical centres, spa management professionals are already at a shortage and in high demand,” she explained to

CBI hopes to hold more events of this type for other schools in UAE.
