ICICI Infotech (MEA), has announced that Cellucom, the regional mobile phone distributor has selected Orion Lite (Trade), to support the company’s current growing business demands and future expansion plans.

Orion Lite is an integrated multi-functional business solution designed specifically for trading enterprises, enabling management and employees to access accurate, up-to-date information online for advanced financial analysis, enhanced operations and distribution management capabilities.

Cellucom reportedly began working on the Orion Lite application within one week of deployment. Pinnacle Computer Systems – ICICI Infotech’s Orion Lite reseller for the Middle East carried out the implementation at Cellucom’s head office in Dubai Airport Free Zone.

The new system allows employees based in the Dubai Airport Free Zone, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Al Ain, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain offices to access all information real-time via the internet and share key information such as purchasing, inventory levels, customer information and financials.

“We are confident that with Orion Lite in place we can better meet the demands of our customers in the region and the challenges that go hand in hand with the company’s imminent growth,” says Arun Nagar, managing director, Cellucom.

According to ICICI Infotech, Orion Lite will give Cellucom’s customers and employees easy access to information systems for all their logistical and operational needs.

“Cellucom needed an advanced, scalable and affordable business management solution which could provide them with remote connectivity to their POS system and we were confident that the new implementation was the perfect fit for their requirements,” says George K. Thomas, managing director, Pinnacle Computer Systems.

The vendor offers similar Orion Lite based solutions for the automobile, fashion, ship handling, retail, food and pharmaceutical verticals developed on Oracle 9i.
