Finding a cellulite treatment that actually works is hard, but the Green Coffee Body Wrap at Tips and Toes beauty salon will give you visible results. The treatment promises to reduce spongy dimpled cellulitis areas and water retention – and no exaggeration, it delivers.

We headed to the salon’s newest branch in Golden Mile on the Palm Jumeirah to try it out. The salon itself is one of our favourites in the UAE. It’s huge and decorated in soothing dark wood and purple and red furniture that gives it a high-end look.

Now the treatment: Led by our friendly therapist Annie, we walked through a wooden candle-lit hallway to our cosy room treatment room and laid face down for an introductory high-pressured massage that used an activating cellulite gel. Focusing on cellulite-prone areas such as upper arms and legs, it was slightly painful at times but not as bad as we expected it to be. It basically included a series of fast-paced and varied massage movements aimed at breaking down stubborn fat.

Next, Annie applied a concentrated green coffee extract, which felt like a scrub, and green coffee wrap. She then covered us in a plastic sheet and heating blanket to help the skin absorb the powder and wrap ingredients. Several minutes later, we hopped in a small shower in the room to wash off the wrap and were back on the table for a relaxing and pleasant body and head message.

Our verdict: A blissful after-work or pre-weekend treatment. Actually, scratch that – every women should get this treatment. It just makes you feel so pampered and really does so much for your skin. Not only that, but all the products used in the treatment are natural. As for the results, we were impressed that the front and back of our upper thighs seemed visibly smoother and most importantly tighter. However, for the results to last a good while, we do recommend getting the wrap every two weeks or just before a big event or beachside weekend. For AED250, the 60-minute treatment is a great catch in comparison to treatments that promise the same results at higher prices yet fail to deliver. We highly, highly recommend this!
