Cisco closes in on SMBs

Cisco has launched an integrated marketing campaign across the GCC, which is designed to promote its suite of tailored network solutions and products for small-and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).

Cisco has launched an integrated marketing campaign across the GCC, which is designed to promote its suite of tailored network solutions and products for small-and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).

Developed with the needs and resources of SMBs in mind, the Cisco SMB Class Solutions deliver bottom-line benefits, from streamlined operations to expanded business opportunities.

“Cisco understands that small companies need the power that an intelligent network can unleash at least as much as big enterprises do. We have seen that sooner or later, most SMBs need a serious network to help them grow their business and safeguard their data. This customized suite of solutions enhances their processes to be more automated, more secure and more intelligent,” says Ghazi Atallah, General Manager, Cisco Systems Middle East.

Recognising that small- and medium-sized companies may not have the IT support structures that large organisations do, Cisco has designed this class of solutions to be easier to understand, easier to implement and, most of all, easier to deliver new savings and new growth.

SMBs looking for business-empowering solutions will find that those solutions which are developed just for them don’t overextend staff, budgets or bandwidth.

“The Middle East is undergoing rapid and dramatic economic change that is having a major impact on the competitive environment. There are more that 1Million small- and medium-class companies in the region that are going to compete with global players soon due to open market policies. Those companies will increasingly find that an intelligent network is a powerful resource in delivering value-added services to clients and developing a competitive edge against competitors,” Atallah continues.

Cisco SMB Class Solutions include Security, IP Communications, Mobility and Wireless, and Network Foundation.

“You don’t need to be a mega-corporation to be able to have a serious performing network that can combine data, security and voice into a single resilient platform. The possibilities that a Cisco network opens up to SMBs are dramatic,” Atallah adds.

Companies can create more innovative customer offerings and competitive differentiation without big-company network expenses; accelerate decision-making, encourage collaboration and streamline tasks by securely extending access to information at the office, home or on the road; reduce costs and improve business agility by converging data, voice and video on a single network; strengthen customer relationships through personalisation and customer-centric services; increase revenue through e-commerce; eliminate the barriers of time and distance by providing access to information based on need, not location, and protect businesses against network security threats.

To further encourage SMBs to explore such networking solutions, Cisco is running a raffle draw for a home wireless networking kit. All that SMBs need to do to automatically enter the weekly raffle is visit www.cisco.com/me/soonerorlater and fill out a form detailing their networking needs.
