The UAE is on a par with Denmark and Sweden when it comes to its citizens enjoying the quality of life, according to a new survey.
The survey, carried out by custom market research firm TNS MENA, says that 97 percent of citizens in the United Arab Emirates believe they enjoy a good quality of life, which is an increase of six percent on the previous survey in 2011.
The firm conducted the nationwide survey from a representative sample of 5,000 Emirati citizens drawn from each of the seven emirates, with most respondents saying they were either ‘very satisfied’ or ‘fairly satisfied’.
Compared to a similar measure, the Standard Eurobarometer 80, both Sweden and Denmark were on the same level of 97 percent, exceeding the European average of 72 percent.
Other countries in Europe to score above the European average included Belgium (93 percent), United Kingdom (90 percent), and Germany (89 percent). For all the latest business news from the UAE and Gulf countries, follow us on Twitter and Linkedin, like us on Facebook and subscribe to our YouTube page, which is updated daily.
