Co-op Islami rebrands

Regional provider of Halal products rebrands in order to push itself further in the region

Co-op Islami, a regional provider of Halal products, unveiled its new brand name at Gulfood last month. The company, which has changed its name to Al Islami Foods, also has a new logo in anticipation of its growth within the larger GCC market.

“The new brand identity incorporates an appealing design that represents an inspired synergy at the core of our operations. In the coming months, we also intend to grow the value of our brand and further communicate our brand mission to our consumers,” said Saleh Abdullah Lootah, CEO, Al Islami Foods.

“However, while a great deal has changed in terms of name and brand identity our approach will remain the same,” Lootah added.

Al Islami Foods, which was established in 1981, began by supplying frozen chicken and soon moved into providing mutton and beef. The company now supplies seafood, vegetarian dishes and dairy products and has a meat processing plant in Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai that uses advanced technology to ensure that food items are prepared under stringent hygiene and Halal standards.
