Community service for Motorola employees

Motorola employees volunteer with charitable projects in Dubai

Motorola employees in Dubai helped out with charity organizations in the city yesterday, as part of the company's Global Day of Service.

More than 200 Motorolans were involved in voluntary work with different projects across the city, with a variety of different organizations concerned with education, health, environmental sustainability and social services. Among the named projects were Dubai Center for Special Needs and The City of Hope Food Donation project.

"The MOTOCARE Global Day of Service will enable Motorola employees in Dubai to focus on one of our main areas of charitable giving - children in need," said Patrick Mulligan, country manager of Motorola UAE.

Worldwide 11,000 Motorola employees are involved in the Global Day of Service, which, Motorola CEO Ed Zander says, is about caring for the community.

"Motorola cares about the communities we serve, and we're using both our minds and our muscles to show it. We are proud of the talent, creativity and dedication our employees demonstrate in the community on this day and throughout the year," Zander said.
