Computec IT releases wind

Computec IT, a regional distributor for components and IT solutions products, is to unveil the MSI Wind notebook this year, along with a range of other products including data storage devices.

Computec IT, a regional distributor for components and IT solutions products, is to unveil the MSI Wind notebook this year, along with a range of other products including data storage devices.

It hopes the Wind Notebook will be its stand-out product; ‘Wind' is an acronym for ‘Wi-Fi Network Device', with an ultra portable design, incorporating a Wi-Fi and Bluetooth transmission interface. It features a 10" LED screen, a 1.6Ghz processor and 1GB DDR2 (extendable up to 2GB), and 80GB hard drive.

In addition, Computec IT is planning to launch the A-DATA flash drive. The company will also be promoting its other distributor brands such as ASRock, Palit, HP, PQI and BIOSTAR.

According to marketing manager Malda Haffar, GITEX represents a huge opportunity to the company. "We always introduce new products and technology at GITEX Technology Week," says Haffar. "It is a two-fold opportunity; it allows us to maintain our existing channels, as well as building a new one. In addition, it lets us listen to our clients and better understand their market needs, so that we can work harder to meet their expectations."
