Construction grows 1.2%

Construction output in Europe grew by 1.2% in November 2006, according to a report by Eurostat

Construction output in Europe grew by 1.2% in November 2006, according to a report by Eurostat.

This was against an output gain of 5.5% in the same month the previous year.

The most significant monthly increases were recorded in Belgium (9.7%), Germany (6.2%) and Slovakia (3.3%).

The largest decreases were recorded in Poland (-3.1%), Slovenia (-2.7%) and Portugal (-1.1%).

On annual basis, the largest increases were recorded in Slovenia (23.2%), Poland (21.6%) and Slovakia (12.9%).
