Aldar Properties has signed an AED 1.3 billion ($353.9 million) contract appointing Trojan General Contracting LLC as the main contractor its latest waterfront development on Yas Island, Water’s Edge.

The contract follows the awarding of an early works package to Dutch Foundation, which began work on the site in February.

Located on the Eastern shores of Yas Island, Water’s Edge is made up of studios, one, two and three-bedroom apartments.

According to Aldar, the property is designed to give home owners “the complete outdoor lifestyle”, with pedestrian access to all its amenities, which include a waterfront promenade with dining and retail options.

Water’s Edge will also feature private courtyards with landscaped areas, pools, multipurpose courts and a mosque.

The development is adjacent to the upcoming Sea World theme park, and is a five-minute walk from Yas Mall, Ferrari World and the Yas Marina Circuit.
