UAE-based business services provider Transguard Group has announced plans to build a new AED114 million ($31 million) accommodation for 2,708 employees in Dubai South.
Due to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2019, the development will include a dedicated medical clinic, a barber’s shop, a gym, laundry facilities, and dining area offering a range of menus from Asia, Africa and Europe.
A prayer hall, bike storage, recycling and ATM banking facilities will complement the building, the company said in a statement.
It added that the new facility is the second construction project of its kind for Transguard after the company broke ground on its first dedicated staff accommodation in 2017 in Jebel Ali which will house nearly 10,000 staff.
“Our employees have always been our number one asset. This new development further underscores our commitment to offering the best living conditions available, which have been enhanced by our investment in recreational facilities. This provides our employees with an environment where they can rest, relax and feel at home, ultimately creating a happier and healthier workforce,” said Greg Ward, managing director, Transguard Group.
Transguard also said it is rolling out across its entire workforce its welfare provision and has already invested more than AED5 million in onsite healthcare centres catering for 20,000 employees. For all the latest construction news from the UAE and Gulf countries, follow us on Twitter and Linkedin, like us on Facebook and subscribe to our YouTube page, which is updated daily.
