Organisers say works at the 4.38 sq-km site in Dubai South is evolving fast. Approximately 40,000 workers are expected to be on-site at the peak of construction activity as the deadline for completion looms, according to officials.

The drone footage shows the rapid construction taking place, with a glimpse of what the three Thematic Pavilions – Opportunity, Mobility and Sustainability – will look like in 2020.

According to Expo officials, construction on the three thematic districts that make up the site is “well advanced”, with the foundations and structural works already completed, with approximately 243,000 cubic metres of concrete poured.

More than 25 million visits are expected at Expo 2020, as people from all over the world come together to explore, experience and celebrate opportunities for human progress.
