RAK Properties, the UAE-based developer, has announced the start of marine works on Hayat Island, a residential project that will also offer leisure and entertainment facilities.

The marine project, undertaken by Al Shaheen Marine Contracting, started earlier this month and is anticipated to be completed by the third quarter of 2019, a statement said.

Hayat Island will feature international 5-star and 4-star resorts, waterfront apartments, villas and townhouses with a private beach clubhouse, and al fresco dining and entertainment venues.

RAK Properties said the marine works will shape the beach and land as part of the Bay Residences project as well as reclaim land for Angel Bay, a major leisure and entertainment destination.

Samuel Sidiqi, CEO of RAK Properties, said: “We are delighted about the progress achieved on the project till date. Our goal is to create a development that stands apart in the facilities it will offer and can further enhance Ras Al Khaimah’s reputation on the global map as one of the leading destinations to visit and stay.”
