Company to use smart technologies to enhance the experience of owners and tenants through the creation of energy-efficient living and working environments
Abu Dhabi-based real estate developer Bloom Holding has announced the establishment of a new energy department as a division of its facilities management arm, bfm.
Bloom said the new department is set to implement an Internet-of-Things (IoT) platform with smart technologies designed to enhance the experience of owners and tenants through the creation of energy-efficient living and working environments.
The department will seek to optimise the overall energy consumption across Bloom Holding’s properties and increase the efficiency of bfm’s services across its customer portfolio.
It will focus on prolonging the lifecycle of Bloom and customer assets, which will all lead to minimise the long-term cost of operations, Bloom added.
From energy retrofits to audits, management of operational habits and specialist asset condition troubleshooting, the department is equipped to create long term value, said Mustafa Saaid, head of development at Bloom Holding,
He added: “Through launch of the Energy Department we are adding new value streams to our customers through our continuing development of sustainable communities that improve customers’ living experience. It is another positive step forward as part of Bloom Holding’s plans to become a smart, sustainability-conscious developer."
