Handbag brand uses ethically and sustainably sourced exotic leather and fur
Saudi Arabian fashion brand Hanuxe has revealed a $11,500 luxury handbag as part of its first-ever collection, which has a starting price of $1,150.
The Siena Clutch in alligator leather is part of a wider collection of Italian-made handbags made from ethically and sustainably sourced exotic leather and fur.
The designs are meant to fuse “Italian flair” with “Arabian appreciation for luxury.”
Other models include the Aria Top Handle handbag, which comes in alligator and ostrich and is sold at $8,625 and $5,751 respectively. The Sophia Tote Rex in fur is the cheapest, priced at $1,150.
The collection uses earthy tones and celestial hues reminiscent of Arabian landscapes. The colour palette ranges from ebony and cocoa to amber and pacific blue.
Hanan Aljabr, founder of Hanuxe, was first inspired to make handbags when she purchased her first piece, aged just 11, while on a trip to Venice, where she also fell in love with Italy and its fashion scene.
“It was love at first sight. There is no country so diverse and beautiful from North to South, East to West,” she said.
