Construction Products Holding Company (CPC) has established Premco Ready-Mix as part of its group of companies in Saudi Arabia.
The new company will specialise in the production of ready-mix concrete, and will have a production capacity of 1,250 million m3 a year.
The new company has four production plants; Jeddah, Bahra, Riyadh and Thuwal, Saudi Arabia.
The Thuwal plant is the largest with an area of 52,500m2, 80km away from Jeddah.
"The new company comes in the framework of expanding CPC's core businesses to provide comprehensive and integrated services that will provide the needs of the construction and building sector in Saudi Arabia," said Faysal Ibrahim Alaquil, director of business development.
The new company has three fully computerised central plants with a production capacity of 300m2 per hour, and 25 mobile mixers with the capacity of 12m3 each, eight concrete pumps with vertical boom placement to 52m and pumping capacity of 200m3 per hour for each pump.
Alaquil added: "Premco Ready-Mix includes eight silos for bulk cement storage capacity of up to 1,600 tonnes in addition to micro silica and all other supporting facilities and services such as water tankers, an ice cutter, an air blower, a chiller for insulated storage of 180,000 litres, a mobile workshop and fully-equipped laboratory."For all the latest construction news from the UAE and Gulf countries, follow us on Twitter and Linkedin, like us on Facebook and subscribe to our YouTube page, which is updated daily.
