Royal Caribbean to bring luxury liner Brilliance of the Seas to emirate in 2010.
Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd has revealed plans to expand its routes to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates in 2010.
Its cruise ship Brilliance of the Seas will dock in the UAE from January to April 2010, the company announced saying it would offer seven-night sailings from the city.
Brilliance of the Seas, which launched in 2002 and can carry 2,500 passengers, includes facilities such as a rock-climbing wall, jogging track, basketball and volleyball court, golf simulator and nine-hole miniature golf course.
It also features five dining venues, spa and fitness centre, and casino.
"We continue to win devotees from throughout the Middle East and are pleased to have exceeded our 2008 sales target for the region, achieving significant growth over last year," said Rama Rebbapragada, Royal Caribbean's regional vice president for international sales and marketing.
The company said it will release itineraries for the new cruises from Dubai in the coming weeks.
It will be the second major cruise to deploy a ship from the emirate, following the lead of Costa Cruises.
