RTA is offering special deals on Water Bus, Water Taxi, Dubai Ferry and abras on Dec 31
Dubai’s Road and Transport Authority (RTA) is offering special deals for residents to ring in the New Year by cruising up the waterfront using one of the marine transport methods.
“People can experience the stunning views of New Year celebrations taking place at Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab and Atlantis during the boat cruises along the Dubai Waterfront,” said Hussain Khansaheb, director of marine transport at the RTA.

Cruises aboard the three water transit modes - Water Bus, Water Taxi and Dubai Ferry - will start at 10pm and conclude at 1am, while abra trips start at 11pm and go on till noon time of the following day.
The Water Bus starts from Marina Terrace station in Dubai Marina and the Assembly Point near the Palm Jumeirah Bridge. Tickets will be available at AED100 ($27) per person; children will get to ride for half price and kids under two can enjoy the ride for free.
Water Taxi trips start from the Marina Promenade in Dubai Marina and the Assembly Point will be nearby Burj Al Arab. Residents can hire the Water Taxis for an exclusive trip for a single person, family or a group of friends not more than 10.
The cost of hiring the Water Taxi is AED3,000.
Dubai Ferry trips start off the Marina Mall in Dubai Marina to the Assembly Point near Burj Al Arab, and tickets are offered at AED200 for the Silver class, AED300 for the Gold Class, with children travelling half price and kids under two awarded free entry. Abra trips will start from the Festival City station to the Dubai Creek and tickets are offered at AED25 per person.
