Schon Properties said, it will develop 20,000 square meters of crystal clear man-made lagoon by partnering with the international lagoon developer Crystal Lagoon to create the sustainable water feature using environmentally friendly technology.
The company has recently announced that the design of the massive man-made lagoon catering to its projects in Dubai Investments Park will complete by end of the year. Conceptualised and designed by the internationally acclaimed Crystal Lagoons, the crystal-clear waterbody will spread across 20,000 square meters, and serve as the centrepiece for their DIP projects comprising 51 buildings.
With a picturesque view from every building, the lagoon with its beautiful beaches will provide a perfect opportunity for a wide range of non-motorised aquatic leisure activities for both residents and guests.
The Schon Properties developments at Dubai Investments Park comprises five residential projects, namely, Lotus, Lily, Ava, Rowan and Winterberry Residences and also the upcoming hospitality projects.
Noorul Asif, Chief Operating Officer of Schon Properties, said: “This will be our beach-away-from-beach, so to speak. The water feature, combined with spectacular landscaping and white, sandy beaches will provide a great visual relief to the residents as well as a range of water sport activities.
“We have full faith in the Crystal Lagoons management and are confident that once completed, the lagoon and the surrounding apartments will be a sight to behold. This is part of our Go-Green initiative, and to ensure an eco-friendly community living environment for our residents.
“By partnering with Crystal Lagoons, we have also ensured that we follow the sustainable and efficient system across all stages of the project – from bringing in the water to discharging it – and are complying with the eco-friendly standards that are hallmark of Dubai real-estate development,” added Asif.
The world’s top amenity Crystal Lagoons are developing similar projects across the world including projects in South America, East Asia, USA, Africa and the Middle East among others. The company has set high standards in terms of quality, sustainability and patent-protected technology, providing premium comfort to its consumers.
Carlos Salas, Regional Director, Crystal Lagoons said: “Based on state-of-the art environmentally sustainable technology, we have ensured that the crystal clear lagoon will further add to quality of life and safety for its users. The water, for example, will have 100 times fewer chemicals compared to a conventional swimming pool. Moreover, our patented ultrasonic filtration allows us to save up to 50 times more energy than a regular system. In terms of consumption, the lagoon will use half of the water used in a park of the same size, further reduced by our evaporation control technology.
“Besides fresh, salt or brackish water, we also utilise water that may not have any other alternative use, such as underground aquifers in deserts,” he added.
Schon Properties has been a significant player in the real estate realm with projects worth 8 million square feet under development in the UAE valued at Dh7 billion. The company has also delivered 1.65 million square feet of built-up area till date and has a strong pipeline of projects on hand.
