Mist has resulted in flight delays at airports in Dubai and Abu Dhabi
Heavy fog will remain in the UAE over the next three days, as sea winds usher high humidity through the day, resulting in the early night and late morning mist, according to a spokesperson from the National Centre of Meteorology (NCMS).
It is expected to be particularly heavy from late evening until 10:30 am, after which heat from the sun will help diminish it.
So far, the fog has affected the arrival and departure of flights across the UAE, with airlines such as Emirates and Etihad delaying and cancelling some flights.
Emirates also urged its passengers to check the status of their flights before heading to the airport, tweeting that the weather will disrupt travel at Dubai Airports.
Fog formation has resulted in poor visibility of less than 100m at times over most areas of the country, according to NCMS.
