Sheikh Mohammed, Ruler of Dubai and Prime Minister of the UAE, answered the pleas of an Emirati man by ordering authorities to provide him and his family with all their needs within 24 hours.
According to local media reports, Sheikh Mohammed’s decision came after an on-air phone call to Ajman Radio’s “Al Rabia Wal Nas” live programme.
Sheikh Mohammed ordered that he be provided with everything he needs “to guarantee them [him and his family] a decent life.”
Following the call, Sheikh Mohammed ordered that the UAE’s Minister of Community Development to provide the Cabinet with a detailed report about the requirements of UAE nationals with limited income, alongside with a plan to address the issue.
Sheikh Mohammed also highlighted the importance of media “as a tool for catering to the wellbeing of citizens.”
In a previous incident, Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, ordered the suspension of a radio broadcaster in Ajman after he belittled a caller who complained of price increases.
