Dubai will host its first ever customer happiness focused summit and awards in October this year at an event that will feature government officials, experts, business people and investors, it was announced on Tuesday.
The one-day event – which will be held at Dubai’s H Hotel on October 18 – will include representatives of the hospitality, travel, tourism, real estate, retail, healthcare and aviation sectors.
The event’s organisers, Plan3Media, have said that they hope the summit will help contribute to Dubai’s economic and social advancement and support Dubai’s ‘happiness agenda’.
The summit agenda includes nine interactive sessions covering regional trends, disruptive technologies and best practices, as well as master classes and talks on delivering customer happiness.
“The UAE has made remarkable growth in every possible direction, especially when we consider its age of inception,” said Plan3Media CEO Jatin Deepchandani. “The appointment of the world’s first happiness minister is nothing short of reinvented diplomacy, which is just one of the many example’s showing the nations forward-thinking character and how far it has come.”
Deepchandani added that Plan3Media, through the evnet, hopes to “reinforce the role of every entity and individual in assisting the UAE attain the title of the world’s happiest place”, as well as foster closer ties between stakeholders in Dubai.
In this year’s UN World Happiness Report, the UAE came in 20th place of 156 countries surveyed.
