The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) brought a swift end to a wages dispute in the emirate, by taking a mobile court to the workers’ accommodation.

The situation arose when workers complained about unpaid wages from their employer.

According to a tweet from the ADJC, a mobile court was sent out and the matter was resolved. It said: “Abu Dhabi Labour Court resolves a collective dispute and settles delayed entitlements by moving to labour camp via ADJD bus court.”

The court was made up of officials from the Abu Dhabi Labour Court and other government departments.

The tweet said: “Abu Dhabi Labour Court has managed to put an end to a collective labour dispute. The court has used ADJD bus court and moved to the company labour camp, where all legal proceedings have been taken onsite, resulting in the payment of labourer’s delayed salaries and restoration of their rights.”
