Temperatures are expected to remains between lows of 29 degrees Celsius and highs of 36 for the remainder of the week.

Temperatures in the UAE are set to drop over the next five days, with cloudy weather expected, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

The announcement comes after residents in different parts of the emirates including Fujairah were greeted with heavy rain and lightning during early hours on Saturday.

Temperatures are expected to remains between lows of 29 degrees Celsius and highs of 36 for the remainder of the week, with some internal areas becoming partly cloudy with a chance of rain over the northern and eastern areas.

Both Ras Al Khaimah and Sharjah on Friday witnessed dust swirls, heavy rain and hail, the centre having issued a weather alert and shared videos of flooded roads on Twitter.
