10 Million Meals initiative allows residents to donate to help vulnerable families amid Covid-19 challenges
Amid the Covid-19 pandemic, Sheikh Mohammed has launched the UAE’s biggest food distribution drive to provide 10 million meals and food parcels to vulnerable individuals and families during the holy month of Ramadan, which is expected to start on April 23.
The 10 Million Meals initiative, which is led by Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum, allows residents to donate in the range of AED8 to AED400 through www.10millionmeals.ae.
In a video shared on his official Twitter account, Dubai Ruler Sheikh Mohammed is heard saying, “Your outlook on humanitarian work overwhelms me with happiness. The challenges are many but we always succeed in facing any”.

The video features volunteers and Sheikha Hind providing parcels to families in need.
It also features the words: “The UAE was born a giver to people near and far. And the UAE stands in crisis… In the UAE no one sleeps hungry, in the UAE no one sleeps in need, no one is left behind”.
On his Twitter account, Sheikh Mohammed also added: "Donating food, especially as we approach the holy month of Ramadan, is a necessary humanitarian and societal priority during what is the largest crisis our world is experiencing…"
