A cafeteria in Abu Dhabi has been shut down after authorities discovered insects in the food preparation area.

The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) announced the closure of Spot Karak Cafeteria on Saturday.

The establishment violated Law No. 2 of 2008 regarding food safety in Abu Dhabi. Practices at the cafeteria posed a risk to public health, according to the Authority. Repeated high-risk violations directly impacting food safety led to the decision.
