Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazroui, Director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police, said traffic patrols handled the reckless driver per the legal procedures.
“They carefully monitored, recorded the reckless driver’s actions, and chose the opportune moment to bring him to a stop safely” he said.

He reaffirmed the unwavering commitment to ensuring road safety and preserving lives, in line with the strategic objectives of Dubai Police.
He further highlighted that aggressive driving behaviour demanded resolute action, leading to the implementation of Decree No. 30 of 2023 concerning traffic violations and the impoundment of vehicles, which aims to safeguard lives and properties and effectively confront reckless drivers who endanger their own lives and the lives of others.
Maj. Gen. Al Mazroui underscored law prevails above all and that no one is above the law, indicating that police impounded the vehicle and issued a violation to the driver for endangering his own life as well as the lives of others.
“In compliance with Decree No. 30 concerning vehicle impoundment, the driver has been fined AED50,000 and has accumulated 23 black points on their traffic record,” he said.
