Kuwait Cabinet announces date of public holiday in September

Kuwait has announced a public holiday for later this month.

In a report carried by state-run news agency KUNA, it was confirmed that the Council of Ministers announced the holiday dates to mark the birthday of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH).

The holiday will be granted on Thursday, September 28.

The cabinet said “public institutes and ministries would suspend work while other entities would continue work and operation in accordance with their own specialised nature.”

With weekends in the country falling on a Friday and Saturday, it means employees in the country can look forward to a three-day weekend.
