Saudi Arabia has exempted pilgrims from Turkey from the requirements of Covid vaccination for travelling to the kingdom to perform Umrah and pray in the Holy Rawdah.

Announcing the decision, Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah said this was done within the framework of the country’s efforts to facilitate the arrival of individuals to perform prayers at the Holy places.

“The pilgrims from Turkey are also excluded from any requirements related to age limits,” Dr. Al-Rabiah said, while addressing a joint press conference with the President of Religious Affairs in Türkiye Dr. Ali ERBAS on Sunday.

Dr. Al-Rabiah also said the government will open the door for holders of all types of visas from around the world to perform Umrah, within the framework of the continuous support and care provided by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to serve Islam and Muslims, and facilitate their arrival to perform their rituals easily and smoothly, to achieve the goals of the kingdom’s Vision 2030.
