UAE schools reopen, Dubai issues advisory

Authorities advised increased safety measures

Dubai schools UAE

Educational institutions in the UAE have reopened after the summer break with millions of students returning back to school. Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) issued a public and traffic safety advisory.

The authorities released a video detailing the guidelines:

  • When picking or dropping children ensure that they avoid playing with switches and doors in the car.
  • Ensure that seabelts are worn by all passengers in the car.
  • Only exit towards the right rear door towards the sidewalk.

Last week, RTA announced that Dubai school students will be transported by smart buses with built-in cameras, tracking equipment and motion detectors.

RTA’s Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) is set for the new academic year 2023-2024 by rolling out advanced buses to serve about 25,000 students across Dubai.
