Educational institutions in the UAE have reopened after the summer break with millions of students returning back to school. Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) issued a public and traffic safety advisory.
The authorities released a video detailing the guidelines:
- When picking or dropping children ensure that they avoid playing with switches and doors in the car.
- Ensure that seabelts are worn by all passengers in the car.
- Only exit towards the right rear door towards the sidewalk.
Last week, RTA announced that Dubai school students will be transported by smart buses with built-in cameras, tracking equipment and motion detectors.
RTA’s Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) is set for the new academic year 2023-2024 by rolling out advanced buses to serve about 25,000 students across Dubai.
