The UAE and Oman deepend their trade and economic relationship with several multi-sector agreements

The UAE has decided to waive all traffic violations incurred by citizens of the Sultanate of Oman from 2018 to 2023, according to a statement published by the WAM news agency.

The announcement follows a visit by Sultan and Prime Minister of Oman Haitham bin Taiq to the United Arab Emirates.

President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan hosted an official reception ceremony to mark the state visit.

Also this week, the United Arab Emirates and Oman signed a series of investment agreements valued at AED129bn ($35.1bn) across multiple sectors, in a major step to deepen the two Gulf countries’ economic cooperation.
