Rain swept across the UAE on Tuesday, with meteorologists forecasting continued precipitation throughout the week.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) issued rain alerts for Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain.
Light to moderate rainfall was predicted over coastal and western areas, accompanied by blowing dust carried by light to moderate north-easterly winds.

According to weather forecasts, Wednesday will bring light to moderate rainfall with cloudy conditions and moderate north-westerly winds causing dust.
The Windy Weather app indicates rain is expected in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai between 8 AM and 12 PM.
Thursday’s outlook includes light rainfall and dropping temperatures, while precipitation is forecast to ease heading into the weekend.
Friday and Saturday will remain cloudy with possible fog or mist formation. The NCM noted a high probability of fog or mist and increased humidity extending into Sunday morning.
Temperature readings will remain stable in Abu Dhabi and Dubai over the next five days, with highs of 30°C and lows of 24°C until Sunday, when highs will reach 29°C with lows of 22°C.
This follows significant rainfall last month that particularly affected the Northern Emirates.
Weather patterns typically shift toward higher temperatures during spring, with readings regularly exceeding 40°C throughout the UAE’s summer months from June through September.
Last year in 2024, the UAE experienced record-breaking storms in April, with the NCM reporting unprecedented rainfall totals of 142mm in Dubai and 254.8mm in parts of Al Ain—the highest recorded since measurements began in 1949.
