DAFZ deploys Oracle E-Business suite

Dubai Airport Free Zone completes e-business project and CRM upgrade to improve service to customers

Dubai Airport Free Zone (DAFZ) has completed the roll out of Oracle’s E-Business Suite for Finance and Procurement, to improve operational efficiency within the zone.

The project was carried out by Oracle Consulting and DAFZ staff, and will give the free zone better performance monitoring and analysis of processes, and better visibility of all of its lines of business.

Mohammed Al Hashimi, Executive Director, Corporate Services at DAFZ said: “The implementation of an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system in DAFZ is one of our strategic objectives to achieve business excellence through the deployment of a fully integrated suite of applications. This will enhance our internal processes, increase customer confidence on the services we are providing, and help us adopt renowned international standards.”

The eight month project also included an upgrade to DAFZ’s inhouse CRM, called Tasheel, and the launch of a new intranet portal to cater to the 1,500 companies in the free zone. The portal will host information resources for the Free zone’s staff, and allow collaboration on the documents, while the CRM system allows companies to interact with DAFZ.
