Dubai developer and Hollywood studio expands agreement to develop projects in Abu Dhabi, Jeddah and Istanbul
More movie-themed hotels and serviced apartments will be built in Middle Eastern cities under an expanded deal between Damac Properties and Paramount Hotels & Resorts announced on Wednesday.
The Dubai developer and the hospitality arm of the Hollywood production company already are building Paramount-branded projects in Dubai and Riyadh.
The exclusive agreement will see more hotels and serviced residences launched in Abu Dhabi, Jeddah and Istanbul.
Damac Properties managing director Ziad El Chaar said the pair’s first project together, Damac Towers by Paramount Hotels & Resorts in Burj Dubai, had been “immensely popular” since its launch in March, 2013.
“[The expanded agreement] will present many new and exciting opportunities to bring the Hollywood lifestyle and California cool to many more premium locations,” El Chaar said.
“We are pleased that in the coming years we will be able to expand this concept to many new markets.”
The companies also already are developing Damac Villas by Paramount Hotels & Resorts, Paramount Hotel, Jumeirah Waterfront, Paramount Hotel Dubai, Downtown and a serviced hotel apartments project in Riyadh.
The new properties would be creative and “conceived as a major release”. No other details were revealed.
