Darwish takes RAK job

Darwish Engineering Emirates has been awarded a US $92.6 million (AED340 million) contract for infrastructure works at the Mina Al Arab mixed-use development in Ras Al Khaimah.

Darwish Engineering Emirates has been awarded a US $92.6 million (AED340 million) contract for infrastructure works at the Mina Al Arab mixed-use development in Ras Al Khaimah.

The agreement covers wastewater treatment and collection, drainage, high and low-voltage electrical links and street lighting, potable water networks, telecommunications, and the building of roads and bridges.

The contract is due to be completed within 18 months.

RAK Properties is the client of the $2.72 billion development.

Architect Woods Bagot was appointed last December to design the residential and commercial element of the project, which will be on a 3km beach.
