Dubai government has requested an increase of 50,000 seats in total capacity entitlement between India and Dubai.

Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA) has sought an increase of 75 percent in India-Dubai seat entitlement, according to India's Minister of State for Civil Aviation, as reported in Gulf News.

The request is made over and above the current entitlement of 65,200 seats per week under the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between India and UAE (Dubai) in February 2014.

Mahesh Sharma, Indian minister of state for civil aviation, said in a written reply in the Lower House of Parliament Lok Sabha  that the capacity entitlements with different countries were enhanced through additional bilateral talks to promote international connectivity.
