The US$270 million Deerfields Town Square project in Abu Dhabi has appointed MR Group as the lead architectural consultant, responsible for the overall masterplan of the retail development.

According to a spokesperson for Deerfields Town Square, MR Group’s responsibilities will include landscaping, layout and design of parking areas, and location of building structures.

MR Group has been selected as part of a consortium, which includes Petroff Partnership Architects and market research firm Talbot Consultants International. “The high quality of services and international standards as well as the on-time delivery of projects, not to forget the amazing client portfolio, were the main reasons behind assigning the consortium,” said Banu Tas, general manager of Deerfields.

Deerfields Town Square is a mixed-use project developed by investment company MBI, located in the Al Bahia area of Abu Dhabi. The project is scheduled for completion in 2010.
