Dell expands Precision line

Dell has expanded its Middle East workstation line with the launch of the Precision 390, which targets demanding application users.

The Precision 390 can be fitted with either an Intel Core 2 Duo chip or an Intel Core 2 Extreme Edition processor. Both are dual-core offerings, in that they each comprise a single chip with two physical cores onboard.

Dell claims the new micro architecture is capable of delivering up to 56% and 88% better performance when tackling application and graphics software respectively.

The 390 also features an improved chassis, which Dell has designed to provide full flexibility for customer deployment or redeployment. For instance, the firm claims that with this customers can easily convert between a tower and desktop configuration. Furthermore, because the chassis is rack-mountable, it is being promoted as ideal for larger, networked deployments.

Precision customers can also take advantage of Dell’s new Advanced Configuration Services, which let customers modify and customise and configure their system at the time of purchase.

The Precision 390 is available in stores across the region from approximately US $1055.
